Bringing efficient solutions in the Preparation of Doses to be Administered (PDA) to pharmacies, this is the ambition of Mdose by marketing the CELIA robot exclusively on the national market. Developed by a French start-up, W2Next, CELIA enables the automated production of pillboxes in the form of blisters, whatever the medium used. Thanks to its small size, it is also a response to the space constraints required to integrate a robot and its ultra-competitive price makes it a real alternative to sachet-dose robots.

Celia, a response to the increasing production of pillboxes in the form of cells

PDA in blister form is a complex activity to carry out in a pharmacy. It requires time, organisation, and the creation of a dedicated space to manage the boxes of medicines and the preparation, which must also comply with hygiene, safety and traceability standards. In this respect, there are manual filling solutions assisted by software, which have proved their worth on the market, one of Mdose's areas of expertise.

However, when it comes to coping with an increase in production, these constraints are amplified and the pharmacist can quickly be attracted by the sirens of the sachets produced by robots, even if the alveolus support is highly appreciated by the nursing staff in nursing homes.

This is what Jean-Bernard Jombart, Director of Mdose, explains to us: "We work with pharmacies that cover a large number of beds in nursing homes and are faced with these time and organisational constraints. We had to find an appropriate solution to enable them to optimise their time and offer the same quality of service. It was when we met the founder of W2Next, Joseph Signor, at PharmagoraPlus 2018 that we realised the value of working together."

Optimisation, one of the factors that motivated Doctor Olivier Powell, co-owner of the Hôtel de Ville pharmacy in Compiègne, which equipped itself with a CELIA automaton last spring. It covers 250 beds in EHPAD with Mdose double pillboxes: "the automat allows us to better adapt to the daily rhythm of the pharmacy, to bring a comfort of work to my repairwoman and to optimize her time to finally gain some".

Celia, the multi-media filling system, a revolution in the market of the automated machine at an attractive price

Until now, the robot offer has mainly covered PDA in the form of dose bags, a small plastic pouch in which medicines are packed. CELIA distinguishes itself by filling the most widely used blister packs on the market, in single-dose (1-box blister) or multi-dose (2 or more boxes). It is therefore aimed at all pharmacists who carry out the PDA manually, without having to change the blister pack, or those looking for an automated solution to cover the needs of their nursing homes.

In addition to its dimensions, which make it easy to fit into a small area, its weight of 51 kg allows it to be easily installed on a professional work surface, without having to reinforce the floor with a concrete slab to support its weight. Plug in play, a standard ground socket and a connection to the Internet network of the pharmacy are enough, the installation is done in only... 30 minutes.

Finally, the attractive price of the Celia robot offers pharmacists the opportunity to automate their work while keeping their monthly budget under control.

Celia provides all the guarantees of total traceability and increases the compliance rate.

Intuitive, the scheduler can manage complex prescriptions, PDA stock management and produce numerous medical-economic statistics.

Of course, it is interfaced with the main care software used by EHPAD and LGO.

Celia is therefore the ideal companion for the PDA activity.
